No. As of 2025, the State of Texas has eliminated the mandatory safety inspection for non-commercial vehicles. We now focus on comprehensive Pre-Purchase and Maintenance inspections.
My car is from Houston/Dallas. Do I need an Emissions Test?
Brazos County does not require emissions testing. If your car is registered in an emissions county but you are living here for school, you can likely waive the requirement by submitting an Affidavit (Form VTR-270).
Do you give the car a Pass or Fail grade?
We don't "pass" or "fail" the car; we give you a factual report of its condition. You decide if the repairs are worth the asking price.
Can I bring a car from a dealership for an inspection?
Absolutely. Most reputable dealerships in College Station/Bryan will allow you to take the vehicle for an independent inspection. If a seller refuses, that is a major red flag.
