Do you do Texas State Safety Inspections?
No. As of 2025, the State of Texas has eliminated the mandatory safety inspection for non-commercial vehicles. You will pay the inspection fee directly to the state when you renew your registration online. To learn more about state inspections and emissions testing requirements click here.
My car is from Houston/Dallas. Do I need an Emissions Test?
Brazos County does not require emissions testing, so we do not have the machines to do it. However, if your car is registered in an emissions county (like Harris or Dallas) but you are living here for school, you can likely waive the requirement by submitting an Affidavit (Form VTR-270) with your renewal.
What is a "Digital Vehicle Inspection" (DVI)?
A DVI is a comprehensive health check of your car where we take photos and videos of any issues we find (leaks, worn belts, bad brakes). We text this report to your phone so you can see exactly what the mechanic sees before approving any repairs.
